Baker River Watershed Association to hold annual meeting

On April 5, 2007 at 6:00PM, the Baker River Watershed Association (BRWA) will hold its annual meeting at the Pease Public Library. The public is invited to attend.

Beth Roy, Plymouth State University graduate research assistant, will present a program on the Pemigewasset and Baker River Enhancement Projects. She is working on these projects as part of her master’s degree program in Environmental Science and Policy at Plymouth State University’s Center for the Environment.  Beth received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Secondary Education from Long Island University at Southampton College.  While pursuing her undergraduate degree she worked with the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services working on their Volunteer Lake Assessment Program and their Regional Environmental Monitoring and Assessment Program.  Currently Beth is a member of the education staff at the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center.

The Pemigewasset and Baker River Enhancement Projects are being based on community-identified goals in a citizen based process.  Please join us to discuss and comment on the scope of the Enhancement Projects and the steps that are being taken to prioritize them.
